India's fast growing private healthcare sector accounts for more than 65% of primary care and 40% of hospitals and presents excellent opportunities for UK companies, particularly in the following areas :

Fortis Healthcare is one of the largest private healthcare companies in India with a network of 62 hospitals. Most of the hospitals are multi-specialty hospitals providing secondary and tertiary healthcare.
2. Medica Synergie Pvt Ltd, Kolkata
Is an upcoming healthcare services group in Eastern India offering specialisation in building and operating hospitals, retail pharmacy and healthcare consultancy.
3. Sagar Hospitals, Bangalore -
Is a comprehensive healthcare provider in Bangalore with two multi-specialty hospitals, four clinics and a chain of pharmacies. The hospitals have ongoing expansion and modernisation projects.
4. Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad
Is a 200 bed Multi-specialty tertiary care hospital and has ongoing expansion and modernisation projects.
5. Sir H.N. Hospital, Mumbai
Is a 350 bed multi-specialty tertiary hospital, locates in south Mumbai. Upgradation of infrastructure in both diagnostics and patient management has been receiving top priority. The hospital is currently undergoing an expansion of its facilities.
